The new band lineup has settled in nicely, and someone finally got some good
pictures of the current Electric
Color Wheel quartet format. It took a while, but sometimes it's good to
be patient.
These new photos were taken at a recent gig at Sammy O'Leary's Pub, which
is a cool little place in San Mateo that the band recently discovered with
the help of Lucy, the girl next door. If she has her way, Electric Color
Wheel will continue to show up in cool new venues. Here's hoping!

Electric Color Wheel has gone through a lot of personnel changes this year. Things
seem to have settled down for now, and the band has a great new sound, which is
somewhat like the old (pre 1998) sound, but better!
Now is your chance to hear the newest incarnation of the band, as a bunch of new MP3's
have been posted on our music page. Click on
over and have yourself a listen.

If you were getting tired of the old look of the Electric Color Wheel
web site, this is your lucky day. Our little piece of the web has had
a makeover that tops anything one could get on the Jenny Jones show.
The entire site has been adorned with new graphics that match the artwork
on our new EP. If you like the graphics on the site, buy the EP since you
are guaranteed to like the artwork if nothing else.
Feel free to have a look around. We don't mind you spending your entire
day checking out our new look. Just make sure you don't make a mess!

Just when you were beginning to get sick of reading the gig reports
on this site, another batch is ready for you. As the gig reports continue
to progress forward in time, you are now able to take a little trip through
the first group of Electric Color Wheel shows performed in the San Francisco
bay area. Since we've been having so much fun naming these phases, let's call
this the "Intro To San Francisco" phase. This phase covers the shows performed
between 12/25/1998 and 5/25/1999. Once again, the gig reports can be accessed
from the list on the
Past Shows page.
September 13, 2001
In recognition of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, in honor
of the victims and their loved ones, and as a show of support for
our wonderful country, the color scheme of the Electric Color Wheel
website has been changed to red, white, blue, and black. The red,
white, and blue symbolize our flag and country, and the black
represents our grief and mourning. Please spend a moment to take
in our new colors and honor the memory of those who have lost their
lives to terrorism.

It seems to be your lucky day, for you now have the opportunity to
read some more gig reports. This time, you can read about the
short series of gigs we did with Adam as our drummer. Those of you
who were into the term "Jason phase" from past readings, will
probably call this the "Adam Phase" but then again, maybe they won't.
The time range covered is 8/15/1997 through 10/1/1997.
As always, the gig reports are accessable from the list on the
Past Shows page.

The time has come for everyone to read the next series of gig reports.
This second batch of reports covers the early days of playing as
Electric Color Wheel, with Jason as our drummer. You may call this
the "Jason Phase" if you feel so inclined. The time period is 4/24/1997
through 8/14/1997. When you're ready to start reading, go to the
Past Shows page and click on the links.

We've got a colorful surprise for all of you art lovers out there.
After rummaging through the archives, we've put together an art
exhibit consisting of the Electric Color Wheel promotional flyers
of the past and present. Your life will not be complete until you
have had a look around our Flyer Gallery.

For anyone who wants to hear a bit about our past performances, Jeremy
has started writing gig reports for each of the past Electric Color
Wheel shows, starting at the beginning. The first batch of reports, which
cover the initial "nameless" phase of the band, are ready for reading.
All you need to do is go to the Past Shows
page, scroll to the bottom of the list, and click on the links. It's really
quite simple. You should try it.

What's new? To tell you the truth, this What's New page is what's new.
Now we have a good place to tell you all about new additions to the
website. Are you not ecstatic? Is this not the greatest thing to
happen in the history of the internet? Should this not be a holiday
celebrated by the inhabitants of 71 countries, 6 republics and an
uncharted island?
You don't seem completely convinced that getting a What's New page
is really such a big deal, but it is I tell you. Look...we can even
link to the new stuff on the site so it's easy for you to find the
newest things, like our What's New
page. See? Isn't that amazing?
If you are not now in awe, then you probably never will be, but you
can still enjoy the brand new What's New page, unless newness just
isn't your thing. If that's the case, go look at our
bios. Those have been there
forever.
But wait, there's more!!!
The Shows page has been
reorganized for your convenience. Yes, it is true, all we really
do is sit around trying to figure out new ways to bring convenience
to you, our friends. To heck with music...how can we make your life
easier? All that stuff about ECW and performances and MP3's just
happened to get here somehow.
Would these new features make you want to explore this ECW site?
Well, that's not all...
While you're enjoying your newfound ease of life, you may also
notice that we've added a page listing shows that ECW has performed
in the past which is, believe it or not, called the
Past Shows page. Isn't that a
great name for it? I knew you'd agree.
Now how much would you pay?
Don't answer now because you also get this cool new
Cover Tunes
page that lists all of the songs ever performed by ECW that
were written by other people. It's so handy that no family should
be without it. That's a $29.95 value, FREE!
